    Description

NICE DRESDEN (EAST LIVERPOOL, OHOP) CHINA BOY SCOUT OCCUPATIONAL SHAVING MUG!
Very sweet example from a recent estate dispersal. Well kept through the years...we have no chips or hairlines, but we do have expected age crazing and a bit of an unknown material on the base bottom rim edge...neither of which detract from the display of this piece. The mark is from Dresden Pottery, East Liver Pool, Ohio. The company used this mark c1905-1925 while under the management of The Potters Cooperative which was founded in 1882. The factory was originally founded in 1875 by Brunt, Blood, and Martin. (Source: Lehner's Encyclopedia of U.S. Mark's On Pottery, Porcelain, and Clay by Lois Lehner, page 60. Images of scouts around the campfire...images are still quite clear. Great little example...measures in at 3 & 3/4" tall.
